I believe this is the March 2018 box, but I got it recently at Oz Comic-Con, and I thought I would share it with you all. I’m also doing this as a practice unboxing in anticipation for the Vicious and Vengeful box I am getting soon. The box is coming late because the books didn’t arrive in Australia on time, but that’s OK. Things don’t always go as planned. So, here is my practice unboxing of the Diverse Fantasy Part 2 box from the YA Chronicles. Also, YA Chronicles are an Australian monthly bookish subscription service, which is really cool. So let’s get started shall we?
The first item we have is the content card, which tells you what’s in the box. I actually haven’t read the card even though I have already opened the box to take the photos you are hopefully seeing. The card has such a beautiful design on it and I’m going to hang it on my wall because I love it so much.
Next is the bookmark, which says Diverse Fantasy 2 on the back and has a beautiful picture of Zelie from Children of Blood and Bone on the front. Definitely going to be using that for my books.
Then there is a candle from Novel Scents + Co called A New Dawn A New Desert inspired by Rebel of the Sands which I have not read. The candle has a very spicy smell to it. The scents are warm spices, fresh herbs, ebony woods and musk. I definitely smell the spices. I’ve never been able to use candles in my parent’s house because of my brother’s epilepsy, but now that don’t live there anymore, I might actually use it. I also really like the pink of the candle.
Next we have a soap inspired by Magnus Bane of the Mortal Instruments. The scent is burnt matches, pear and ginseng. I keep sniffing it, I love the smell so much. I can’t wait to use it. I like getting soaps in subscription boxes.
Next is this beautiful necklace inspired by An Ember in the Ashes. I think it would be a cute thing to wear on a night out (if I ever actually go out). It’s very sparkly with a mini sword. It’s so cute.
And lastly, of course, we have the book. And the book in this YA Chronicles box and the reason I chose this box while at the YA Chronicles stall at Oz Comic-Con is CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE by Tomi Adeyemi. I’ve been wanting to pick this book up for a while, but on it’s own it’s actually quite expensive. Getting it in the YA Chronicles box was a much better deal, because I got lots of other great goodies too.
And that is the end of my first ever unboxing. I really loved all the goodies I got in my YA Chronicles box and I’m excited for my next one.
