Hi everyone. Today I’m going to tell you a little bit about how I read my series and how it has changed over the past year.
So, as you may have noticed in my half year reading wrap up, I started the year by binging my series. I read the entire Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard, then series 1 and 2 of Deltora Quest by Emily Rodda. The reason I didn’t read series 3 of DQ was because I got bored of the world, and the characters and I felt like I needed something new.
So I came up with a new system for reading my series and I call it series rotation. So, now I read book 1 of one series, then book 1 of another series and book 1 from yet another series, then book 2 from each series until I complete the series. Right now I am reading Land of Elyon by Patrick Carman, the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan and the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr. (To be honest, I gave up on Wicked Lovely and will be replacing it with Vicious and Vengeful by VE Schwab.)
This method has worked really well for me since each series is broken up a bit, but still not enough for me to forget anything that has happened in the previous books. Plus, I’m getting through my series quicker that way because I don’t feel like I’m trudging through just to finish the series and I’m enjoying them more because I’m not getting bored of the worlds.
Anyways. Let me know how you read your series in the comments.
THANK YOU 😀
