January Wrap Up and February TBR

So, in the month of January, I managed to read 5 books. I found it quite easy to make it through my TBR as the books I was reading were ones I really enjoyed. I also managed to complete all but one of the series I started last year, which is also a plus. So, here is my wrap up for January 2019.

The first book I read was The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. This is the last book in the Percy Jackson series. I gave it 5/5 stars. I thought it was a great conclusion to the series with an action packed story. Also, a lot of things got revealed in this book which were speculated to earlier on, which was awesome. I will one day read the series again.

Then I read Death Note Volume One. I love Death Note, so naturally it got 5/5 stars as well. I did read this same volume last year, so if you want to know more of my thoughts, you can check out my half year wrap up.

Then I read Vengeful by VE Schwab This was another 5 star read. I am hoping that she writes more stories within this world because they really fascinate me.

And I completed my January TBR a few days early with Otherearth by Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller.

This was another 5 star read. I actually didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I found this book to be better than its predecessor mainly because the plot wasn’t all over the place like it was in Otherworld. The story in this book had set goals or plots lines and stuck to them making it a very enjoyable ride. Plus that cliffhanger. Really anticipating Otherlife now.

And then I managed to read Death Note Vol 2

Now, for my February TBR. I’ve decided I’m going to get my illusionist/magician books out of the way this month because I’ve really been in the mood for those kinds of books. Two of the books on my TBR are from my Top 10 Books I Want To Read in 2019 list while another was an Owlcrate book.

My two main books that I must finish:

My monthly Death Note:

My reserve book:

Let me know if you have read any of this books and what you thought of them in the comments below. Thanks for reading. Bye πŸ‘‹
