Hello everyone. I’m here to talk to you about the books I finished in April. This month I read two books, one physically and one on audio. This was my first experience actually liking an audiobooks. I guess it depends on what the book is and how I feel about the narrator.
Anyways, let’s get to my April wrap up.
My physical book was Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto
I gave it 5/5 stars. It’s got a lot of action and history to it. It’s multiple perspectives and, as with all multiple perspective books, their stories intertwine and connect. I was so confused by how Val connected to Veronyka throughout most of it and why Val was the way she is, but that got explained right at the end. And that ending blew my mind. I highly recommend this book.
My Audiobook was Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor.
I gave it 5/5 stars. It was phenomenal. The narrator was perfect and captured the character’s voices so well. The story itself was so beautiful. The romance felt a little odd and instalovey at first, but once I found out why, I enjoyed it and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I highly recommend listening to the audiobook. I can’t wait to listen to Days of Blood and Starlight.
As I’m writing this, I’m almost finished Death Note Vol 3. I’m really enjoying it so far. You’ll see more of my thoughts about it in my May wrap up.
Now it is time for my May TBR.
This month, I’m going to sort of participate in the Asian Readathon that is happening in May while also trying to continue/catch up with my monthly Death Note and my Top 10 Books I Want To Read in 2019.
I will still continue to have 2 main books, a monthly Death Note and a reserve book, but I will also be doing a monthly audiobook from now on as well. This adds up to 5 books a month that I hope to read, but if I do not manage to complete them, they will roll over into the next month.
So, here is my TBR for the month of May.
My two main books:
Both of these books qualify for the Asian Readathon, and so does my Monthly Death Note:
My reserve book:
In order to read this one, I may have to reread Ace of Shades first, but we’ll see how I go with it. This is the first book I have ever preordered so I am really excited to get to it. It’s also one of the books on my list.
Well, that’s it for my wrap up and TBR. If you have read any of these books or are planning to, let me know in the comments. Thank you for reading. Bye 👋
